ACCESS


From Bordeaux, take the Bassin d'Arcachon direction and exit at Mios/Biscarrosse. In Sanguinet, follow signs for Biscarrosse and then for the beach. Continue towards the Vivier beach parking lot and park your car here. Follow the cycle path, and on your right you'll see the surf camp and the gate leading to the Hoya Surf Camp reception.

SCHEDULES

The surf school and camp are open from March 15 to November 15. Lessons are given on the Biscarrosse beach. During this period, the reception is open from 9.30am to 6.30pm non-stop. In high season (July-August), the reception is open from 8am to 8pm.

To ensure that our courses are adapted to different levels and weather conditions, course slots are closed in the event of thunderstorms or strong winds. Hoya therefore reserves the right to modify them, notably for safety reasons.

PLACES OF BUSINESS

Lake Maguide is an ideal place to start because it's often protected from the prevailing north and west winds, and riders have a foothold in case of a fall.

The canals connect the two lakes of Biscarosse, passing through the middle of the Landes forest and offering a very smooth stretch of water, ideal for stand-up paddling even in very strong winds.

Surfing and stand-up paddling in the ocean is practised at Plage du Vivier. More technical, it's best to do a few sessions on the lake beforehand.

TRANSPORT

The Hoya Surf School takes care of transport to the lake with an 8-seater truck. Travel time varies according to the location of the activity (weather conditions), but please allow an average of 10 minutes.
